Turbo Tax Improvement 2013

Turbo Tax does not provide guidance in relation to Foreign Retirement Pension Distribution, had to research the IRS Instructions which were not very descriptive. Incorporating the income under Pension generated errors due to missing employee tax code. Would simplify if programers coded this scenerio into the application. Overall the application was very usefull eliminates hours of studying tax codes.

Error found on State forms

I have been using this program for many years and this is the first time that this little detail has placed delays on my returns. I think next year I will use a different program.
What's great about it: Programs can add numbers fine
What's not so great: program does not know enough to forward amount to proper lines on forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Wizard is great for basic return, but you need to know/research a bit if you have anything unusual/not average that is associated with your return so you complete your return correctly.
What's great about it: Easy to use, clean user interfaces.
What's not so great: Very slow, spend a lot of time waiting

Turbo Tax automatically prints estimated tax for 2013 including 4 separate vouchers for both the final return and my copy based on 2012 data. This is a waste of paper and ink. Would like to be able to delete the printing of the estimated tax payment and vouchers for 2013 until after I determine what my estimated income and deductions for 2013 will be.
Also, Why is nick name so important. After 3 tries, I used "who cares". If this does not go thru then who cares.
What's great about it: Generally easy to use.
What's not so great: Automatically prints Estimated tax information for 2013.

This year the transfer of info from prior tax file was not very smooth. I had to reenter info from prior year return and TT never really guided me efficiently as prior year versions. For example, I had prior year credits for our children and TT never reminded me that last yr I had these credits. I had to finish the return and do my review before I caught the error. Also, when info was spread over several tax yrs, TT had no info from return history. I've used TT for many yrs, plz reward loyal users. Maybe the problem is trying to capture competitors previous tax files in TT for new users......don't recall ever seeing HRB and TA files being used to transfer info before.
