Amazing software program

I've used TT for some years now, sometimes complex, sometimes easy. This year I gave a wrong answer and got a really screwed up Deduction figure. It took the wonderful Tracie E. probably close to an hour on Live Chat to get me to a point where I could see all the forms in Preview before paying and filing (not letting us do that automatically is a huge negative and a change from other years). I couldn't make a correction until I knew why TT made the error, so I really HAD to see the entire return being filed. Once I could see Schedule A I knew where I made a mistake and went back and fixed it. Tracie saved me! I would have had to dump TT if not for her help.
I think it would be easier if there was a "Continue" link at the top of each page as well as the bottom. Not so much scrolling.
I also think it would help to define more terms (like what does it mean to "close" a Roth IRA; stop contributing or distribute 100%? That's the question I got wrong).
I did have to wait almost two hours for Chat help but it was the 14th so not unexpected. The help was patient and helpful. But for that one quandry, I would have been done in a couple of hours.
I like the interface between desktop and website. And also the ability to save and store. The biggest negative this year was the fact that you could not Preview your whole Return without paying first (and then it's too late to make the needed correction).
What's great about it: Does most calculations for you
What's not so great: Asks some questions I don't know how to answer
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

As always, TT was simple to use but you still have to know a little bit about taxes to get the most benefit. I've been using TT tax for probably 10 to 15 years.
What's great about it: user friendly

I knew what the Sch E should look like, but it took considerable effort to figure out how to enter the data in Turbotax.
What's great about it: easy to navigate, thorough, downloads from last year save time
What's not so great: rental income was not easy to use.

Terrific -- best yet!

I've been using Turbo Tax at least 10 years. This is the best version, easiest to use. In earlier versions, I didn't always understand some of the questions. Not so this year. It was clear and the help links were useful and understandable.
What's great about it: I understood all the questions!

It was so easy to just follow along, answering the questions...I didn't have any special deductions or income to declare, so it was literally the 1040EZ.
What's great about it: step by step, simple instructions, done in 15 minutes!
What's not so great: um, none.

I enjoy using turbo tax. I gather all my tax documents and the program just guides me through what to enter from what form when i need to enter it. It could not be easier.
What's great about it: quick and easy and anything I didn't know was explained to me.
