CA Filing

why cant the system allow the creation of the married filing, and then have the system automatically create the single filings needed for the federal... it just seems to be assinine that you need to create four filings for two people and constantly recheck between the filings to make sure that they all match up correctly.
"not so great for same-gender married couples in CA" as a review title how does "Your title contains inappropriate language"?

My 2012 Taxes - Sad Days When Losing a Dependent

I have had another successful tax year with TurboTax. I lost a dependent this year - even though I'm thrilled that he graduated from college and was able to find a job in his field. Turbo tax has provided me with the suggestions I need to keep from owing next year. Thank you TurboTax.
What's great about it: Great program. Everything I needed was right here.
What's not so great: There are no CONS.

2012 Turbo Tax

I did not realize that I was not prompted to transfer the prior year tax data from turbo tax until I was well into the 2012 return. Some of the 2011 turbo tax data appeared towards the end of the return - with my prior year key line items . However, the charitable contributions did not carry forward the names and addresses of the my prior year entities.
What's great about it: I think it flowed better this year, particularly for investments
What's not so great: the transfer of prior year tax return data was not intuitive, I am not sure it really transferred. I

Tax anxiety defeat

I am terribly nervous every year when doing taxes. Thinking I will answer a question wrong. Turbo Tax is amazing with it's ability to predict my questions before they happen. It is concise and direct in how to guide you to find the savings you deserve. I am never disappointed with the results that I get with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Speedy questions that lead you to the right answer, plus the transfer of last years information.
What's not so great: Confusion with new tax laws.

TURBOTAX IS SIMPLE, AFFORDABLE, AND USER FRIENDLY, AND PROVIDES AUDIT ASSISTANCE SO THAT I NEVER HAVE TO TALK TO IRS DIRECTLY!

Easy to Navigate

The software is very good, easy to understand and follow. Picks up the last year return's data. Areas of improvements for future releases:
1. Should mention upfront the Cost of filing the taxes, and for additional state tax software
2. State taxes got a bit confusing when doing multiple states filing, which may not be common for most filers. Was not clear on what got transferred from Federal to State forms.

Overall, very satisfied. Would recommend others to try it next tax season.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. It is a great tool and really simplifies the tax process. It is quick, easy, and very comprehensive. My only issue - and this is NOT a problem with Turbo Tax - is that I wish i could file my Federal (at a minimum), but can't due to the types of forms in my return.
Love TT and will definitely use it again.
What's great about it: Quick, easy, comprehensive
