Long Time Turbo Tax Filer

I have been filing my taxes with Turbo Tax for the last five years. This year I had some complicated tax situations but it was still as easy as ever to file.
What's great about it: As easy as ever
What's not so great: Deluxe version could have more support
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Taxes Made Simple

Not only does Turbo Tax help guide you through tax preparation one line at a time, but it shows you the previous year's numbers in case you forget an income or deduction item. Also, it covers everything - even transferring 401K to IRA!
What's great about it: Guided me through with easy questions and answers

I enjoy doing taxes now. Turbo tax makes it extremely simple to do on my own. It allows you to see how your tax deductions compare to everyone who uses it and it also helps you see your audit risk.
What's great about it: detailed help, simple and easy to use.
What's not so great: opening forms can be confusing.

I donated some kitchen counter tops from my recently purchased house. Turbo tax wanted purchase date and amount, which I had no way of answering. No way to work around.
What's great about it: Love the way they take me through each step.
What's not so great: Difficulty with one of the donation areas.

Super easy, our first time doing our own taxes with a program so we double checked each step of the way , Turbo Tax was always right!!! Next year it will take 10% of the time because we now have confidence in the program.

Taxes, blech! TurboTax, yay!

Taxes hurt my brain. If I had to file my taxes using pencil and paper, I would lose my mind! TurboTax makes an unpleasant chore, bearable. I've only ever used TurboTax because it's always worked and I see no reason to switch to another software program. I appreciate being walked through the deductions in particular. I also like that I can track my charitable deductions using It's Deductible and then import into TurboTax...pretty slick!
What's great about it: Makes an unpleasant task bearable.
