I don't work in Detroit

Entering W-2's, nothing was entered for City of Detroit. Yet for the last 3 years, this program continually forces the issue and will not allow the box for Detroit city taxes to be unchecked. Forms do not print - that's great. Fix the program. No income = no work = no stinking check mark.
What's not so great: Would not let me uncheck Detroit as a return

Great product. Have been using it since 2000.
What's great about it: Ease of use for basic and semi complex returns
What's not so great: Harder on one of a kind issues like foreign tax credit

Turbo Tax is so awesome! I love they way they review for errors to help you correct anything that might have been entered improperly or skipped. It is also great how they give you tips for deductions. We also loved that the federal info. is automatically imported into the state return! Thanks a million Turbo Tax or should I say, thanks $1,500 or so!!!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax guides you through every step.

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and it is far superior to doing it by hand, which is what I used to do. I used to work for a tax preparation firm many years ago and I have more confidence in Turbo Tax than I would using some firms. It is also nice that forms can be accessed in cases where I want to read up on some tax rule.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to follow and comprehensive; provides values for charitable contributions for many items
What's not so great: had problem in Minnesota, which did not affect me but it was not good to hear about

I have used Turbo tax for over 11 years and it is the best tax filing tool available. I would recommend it to just everyone.
What's great about it: Easy to Navigate, maximum return
What's not so great: The CD I purchased was corrupted and had to spend 2 hrs on the phone with TurboTax experts to download via computer

I was able to figure out how to do the paper file and the e-file, but it shouldn't be that difficult to click the boxes and have it take care of that the first time through.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and step by step instructions.
What's not so great: Can't easily submit one return e-file and the other paper. A $10 refund doesn't warrant a 19.99 fee to e-file.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Waiting until the last minute is OK if you're using Turbo Tax.

Great product, use it on two daughters taxes, (simply 1040), and my wifes and my taxeswhich is used in it's complete system to include a States work up.
Thanks again for a great product.
What's great about it: Excellent tool to use.
What's not so great: Really don't know any Cons, only Pros.
