Easy step system that takes the complexity of a return out of the users hands. The only issue is if you don't understand the questions or ramifications, it is hard to find the proper direction. Overall, it is the best tax software available.
What's great about it: Easy system to walk you through a difficult process.
What's not so great: Had to see where you are and find detailed definitions.

Pimple on a pretty face!

I really didn't want to spend money to e-file my state return. TurboTax made it very difficult to do otherwise. I would have preferred a choice to either e-file or print my CA return, as it was in previous years, on one screen. I didn't feel like searching the Community for answers.
What's great about it: Nice layout!
What's not so great: Filing state returns poor!

Super Easy!!

I haven't done my taxes myself in many years...this was super easy. I even had business expenses! I was really panicked about doing my own taxes this year but I will do Turbo Tax again next year:)
What's great about it: Step by step
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Takes taxing out of tax....

Why do I use TurboTax instead of my local accountant? Let me count the reasons: (1) Instant fill-ins from previous years save me much time and tedium. (2) Its consistency from year to year makes using it easier each time.
(3) Electronic calulations are more dependable than pencil and paper ones. (4) Switching format and sequence is easy. (5) It offers several useful instant options. (6) I appreciate reading the reassurances of accuracy and completeness before filing. (7) I like having a computer record to return to whenever I wish. (8) E-filing trumps standing in line at the post office. (9) I believe whatever few extra dollars accountants might save me would be consumed by their fees. (10) I'm finished for the year--no extensions for me!

Overall Good - Donations Clunky at Times

Overall, Turbo Tax is a solid program for submitting taxes. The questions are easy to understand and the expected inputs are well documented.
The only difficulty I had this year was in submitting items for donation that did not come up in the search ability. For some things, the search would return something inappropriate. It wasn't until I searched for something completely different from the possibilities the program had that I got the option for a custom donation entry. This should be easier to get to, maybe as the last entry for any search.
What's great about it: Easy Guide is reliable and provides a good interface
What's not so great: Getting to custom entries for donations is challenging

The Only Way To Go

I have been using TurboTax for about 14 years and I wouldn't consider any other product. Even an amended return required information from several years before, TurboTax found the information and completed three amended years.
What's great about it: The interview approach walks you through your taxes with clear steps.
What's not so great: SOME CONFUSION AROUND E-FILING. WHEN I REACHED THE FILING STEP THE GUIDE KEPT LOOPING.
