Easy to use have tried other software and was just as frustrating as doing on paper. Lover Turbo Tax for the ease of filling taxes.

Great Refund

We received a great refund. The software is easy to use and guides the simplest person through all sections easily, although some can be a bit confusing.
We have been Turbo Tax Customers for many years and love the product and services they put out each and every year. We made the change when it became too expensive to get our taxes done and still not get a refund.
What's great about it: easy to go through with the Easy Guides
What's not so great: Some of the sections were a little confusing

Easy to Use

i like the step by step process and that you can save it as you go along. WIth 3 young boys I can never sit for the amount of time needed for full implementation of filing so being able to do a bit at a time is beneficial. It is fast though compared to how I used to do the old school pen and forms way!
What's great about it: step by step that you can stop and continue when you want.

Retiree loves Turbotax

I've used Turbotax for more than 10 years. As retirees, our return includes investment data, pension income, and possibly deductible expenses. Turbotax has enabled me to prepare our returns year after year and to understand how to report our financial information and understand the results. Without Turbotax, I would be paying a tax professional 4-6 times the amount I spend on Turbotax each year. I'm grateful.
What's great about it: Easy to understand interview questions; additional info where you need it
What's not so great: None

Excellent Federal - Not so good state

I work in DE and live in PA. PA does not allow the 401k deduction while DE does. In addition, the DE tax rate is much higer than PA. In addition, my wife works in NJ which has a reciprical agreement with PA. Turbotax does not handle these differences well and you must do a lot of math offline so the correct numbers can be entered into the forms. Fortunately I previously did my taxes by hand and am familiar with the calculations involved. Turbotax does not lead you through the process, but will take your answers and process them appropriately. It would be best if Turbotax allowed for these calculations within the software. Also, both DE and PA require additional documentation to be supplied. It would be good if turbotax allowed you to upload the required documents to allow everything to be e-filed at one time.
Very easy to use on federal level.
What's great about it: Federal process is straight forward
What's not so great: Not very easy to use when working in one state and a resident of another state.
