I have usd TurboTax for 10 or 12 years now. I was a bit distraught about your problems with the state of Minnesota a few wks ago but I am glad all is corrected.
What's great about it: Fast & easy relatively painless

Tried and True, year after year

I've been using TurboTax for years (decades?), and it always provides exactly the help and support I need to get through my taxes. Mine are fairly involved, including some unusual situations in my self-employment income and expenses, as well as home energy credits and education expenses, but TurboTax leads me through it all, prompting me to remember all the details and get them recorded on the form where they can do me some tax good. I have complete confidence in TurboTax to do right by me and my family regarding our tax situation year after year.
What's great about it: Leads me through the process of tracking down all my financial data, in a logical, easy-to-interact with style
What's not so great: Have to run through all the steps in a topic's loop, such as business expenses, to make a change

We have been using Turbo Tax for 8 years now and have always felt very assured and happy with our results.
What's great about it: Process flows nicely and makes sense
What's not so great: US Tax codes - too may and complicated to understand

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TurboTax!!!!

I have been using TurboTax for at least 15 years, and have NEVER had difficulties using the software. I have purchased it both in a store and online as a download.........never any problems. ONCE I tried a competitor's software, and ABSOLUTELY HATED IT! You could not give me the software for free from the competitor.
What's great about it: TurboTax walks you through absolutely every step, and gives you the chance to always get topics clarified.
What's not so great: Honestly, the only con is someone doesn't jump out of the computer to do it for me!

What's not so great: Need more help with Cost Basis calculations

Overall, very easy to install, and easy prompts through each section.
Couple of tax terms I just don't understand to know if I covered everything I needed.
I'll definitely continue to use Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Love that it pulls prior year info to save time
