Good for Federal, Tougher for State

Worked fine for the basics, somewhat confusing for special situations involving state tax-exempt income, 529 plans and the like.
What's great about it: Worked fine for federal return
What's not so great: Not much helpf for special situations on state return (VA)

Turbo Tax saves you money for having someone else do your taxes for you. The step by step process is a can't miss. I get more money by doing it myself.
What's great about it: Easy, Fast, Indepth as well,
What's not so great: The Government

I have a fairly complex tax situation which TurboTax managed to handle. AMT section is weak with not enough explanations.
What's great about it: Best all-round software for preparing taxes
What's not so great: AMT section weak

What's great about it: Step-by-step. makes it easy, in plain English, so much easier when you can load last year's info and faster
What's not so great: wish they had a little more description or examples sometimes
