Works even with complex taxes

Had a complex return this year with both working and disability income - 401K withdrawals and dependent children.
The program walked me through all the entries for income, personal info and deductions. Suggested dozens of possible savings, some of which I could take - some not.
Bottom line - still owe taxes - but several thousand less than I expected to have to pay.
And with the added tax representative, I only paid a small price to have pros represent me if I ever get audited.
Have used for years and will continue.
What's great about it: Detailed step by step entries.
What's not so great: Seems to easy - you second guess yourself.

Fast & Easy

Great questions. Easy to understand. Having previous year info available is very helpful. TurboTax does not let me forget anything. This is my 2nd year to use and I will never go back to doing tax returns without TurboTax.

I have found that Turbo tax does a great job coaching on the entries and creating the right forms after juggling the figures that I enter. If things don't look right it means that usually the data entry is wrong which drops it right back in my lap. Another GIGO! After trying to do it on my own starting several years ago I no longer pay a preparer since 2007. And I have not had an audit or question from the tax authorities. Well worth the price!
What's great about it: One can switch back and forth between following the tax guidance and going directly to the forms to check or change .
What's not so great: Need more guidance on how to establish your Tax Basis in a traditional IRA

Tax returns made easy

This is by the far the best tax filing experience ever. turbotax allows for easy tax returns for not so tax savvy individuals like me. Will definitely keep using this software in the future...
What's great about it: very intuitive user interface, need little to no direction to start using the software

Fast Completion

Import Documents feature - fast and easy. Using the ItsDeductible Online feature for donations was fast and easy - nice to type item and select search, and was able to type in my own item if not listed. I've been using Turbo Tax for five years, and 2012 Turbo Tax was a nice upgrade over previous versions.
What's great about it: Import Documents. ItsDeductible Online. E-File.

Easier this year than past Turbo Tax editions (have always used the Deluxe Version). Interface is improving with exception of medical expenses which are broken out into too many categories. Would rate it 4 stars.
What's great about it: Walkthrough was very thourogh
What's not so great: Medical expenses broken down too granularlly. Should be able to simply put in a single figure for all expenses.
