This was my first time using tax preparation software. I was prepared for a long tedious process and can say I was very pleasantly surprised. The step by step methodology, coupled with simple, informal narratives, almost - dare I say it - made the process fun.
I believe a complete novice would have no trouble navigating through TurboTax and saving hours versus completing forms manually.
What's great about it: I loved how the application uses informal narrartives to make what is typically a tedious process very simple.
What's not so great: E filing state returns are pricey - especially since you can do it for free on the state site.

Another year, another great experience!

It took me about 45 minutes to complete my .Federal and State taxes. Turbo Tax has been my savior for the past 10 years and I trust Turbo Tax to be accurate.
What's great about it: How simple and complete.
What's not so great: NA
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've been using Turbo Tax for about the past six or seven years. I continue to find the program easy to use for my level of financial complexity. I appreciate the help links in the event that I need further understanding on a topic. One improvement would be to continue at the bottom of the page rather than the top when completing a section (for example, when finishing the seventh deduction category of ten, I have to scroll-down rather than starting at the eighth category. Not a big deal, but it's a suggestion for an improvement that I'd prefer.
Unless the price goes out of control next year, I'll buy again.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Pay additional for State e-File

Overall this was a quick and convenient process. I enjoyed the tax preparer comments and that the system took pains to ensure that we understood if any given step would take a minute or so.
What's great about it: Fast and Easy.
What's not so great: Fee to pay for State efile should be easier to take from refund, why extra charge

easy filing

I waited until Saturday, 4/13, at 9:30pm to start my taxes. I had many medical costs last year, but didn't realize that I had had enough to include them in my deductions. I was able to get the expenses I needed from my records and online - but it took until Sun afternoon. I put everything on a spreadsheet so that I could enter the amounts in the correct 'buckets'. If I had hired someone to do my taxes, I would not have had the records that I needed and it would have been a long, frustrating process. Way to go, Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: I waited until the last minute to file - and still got it done in time
What's not so great: hard to find the correct button to click on or instructions were not clear

great taxes

I have used turbo tax for over ten years and have only seen improvements in every year. The amount of information that is available is very extensive. i would and do recommend it to any one that asks me.
What's great about it: very helpful in all aspects of information
What's not so great: needs more explanation of tax code requirements

What's not so great: Seemed like child credit was skipped over, had to go look for it
