should not be able to close (and thereby loose) a return draft without being reminded to save return in progress of preparation

we tried very hard to understand how and why we would get $15 penalty. The program provided IRS information directly and we found the solution we want. We hope to have a easier program for 2013 tax return filing.
What's great about it: link to IRS believed informant

Allowing me to toggle between step-by-step and explore on my own is a great feature of Turbo Tax! It is extremely easy to use, and I don't doubt that anything has been missed, once I have competed entry and it has been verified. I appreciate that the program has remained similar over the past 6 or 7 years I have used Turbo Tax software, only improved.
What's great about it: Functionality of the program
What's not so great: None, really
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: Quick and simple

When a taxpayer has died, PA evidently requires separate returns for the husband and wife. Turbo Tax did not show this reqauirement until the federal return was completed and the state returns started. Turbo tax then requires that two federal individual returns be completed. It would bed better to know this BEFORE the federal return was completed and the state returns started.
What's great about it: tax laws change frequently so working with 'guide me' is fantastic
