GREAT SOFTWARE

This software is very simple to use. Takes you step by step through the process. You get to file 1 free return which is great. I've been using this software for several years now and I do my and my fiancees tax returns and several other family members. Bottom line I love it.
What's great about it: FAST SIMPLE JUST EXCELLENT
What's not so great: HAS NO CONS
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall a very good value.

Bad decision

Really bad decision to not support the legacy mac OSs. All my old returns and my financial management into is on a machine that you've abandoned. Whoever made the decision to strand all those LOYAL users should take a walk...

Almost perfect program

Only complaint I've ever had with TurboTax is that one has to move the cursor over to the scroll down bar on the right of the window and move this bar to scroll down to the bottom of the page. Most windows allow one to just click anywhere on the window and use the up and down arrow keys to scroll up and down.
What's great about it: Leads one right through the process
What's not so great: Can't easily just scroll down by clicking on the window and down arrow.

Interview could be improved

As always, Turbo Tax does a decent job with the interview process. There are some questions as it relates to deductions that could be improved; ie. with Schedule C deductions.
What's great about it: Interview process does a decent job
What's not so great: Confusion with named return even though filing jointly
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The twitter style synopsis of help questions on the right of the working area gives the appearance of help but when you click thosae questions, or write your own, all you find is that there are a lot of other confused people. It might be more useful if you vetted the answers so we could find reliable information.
What's great about it: it appears others have the same problems I do

TurboTax makes an easy job of a complicated tax system. Could not ask for a simpler way to complete the task!
What's great about it: Very user friendly and made it so easy to complete!
What's not so great: Charge for eFiling State
