Great Program

I really like how easy TurboTax stepped me through my amended tax return. The process was straight forward but I wish TurboTax would have remember the changes I made as I was looking for my mistake.

I have never used any other Tax software than Turbo Tax. Can't remember when I started, but it was somewhere in the "dark ages" of home computing. Year after year only one thing happens, Turbo tax get better.
What's great about it: Always easy to use. Always accurate.

I put off my taxes all year and did them at the last minute because of a very difficult situation. I contacted the Pro's and they helped me via chat. Very helpful and I finished...finally. The experience with their help this year will make me finish taxes much earlier in the future.The boxed version seems to work better than the online version (that has been my experience for the last 4 or more years). It does seem a bit expensive, especially when you use the online version.
What's great about it: Easier than doing it alone. I like to see the forms as I go. Great help when you need it
What's not so great: Can get expensive, if you have tricky taxes. Boxed version is better for me.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall, I was very pleased with the program. It was simple to use, provided good basic explanations of relevant portions of the tax code, and walked the user through the process in a logical fashion. I was surprised and a little disappointed to find advertising imbedded throughout the program. While they were for relevant products and services they are a distraction from for what is, for most of us, a process we just want to get through as quickly and painlessly as possible. Two features that would have been nice to have: (1) an option to enlarge either the font or the overall working window, and (2) a text based search function to allow a user to go directly to the relevant section rather than scroll back and forth, trying to find the right section.
What's great about it: Simple to use, and addresses moderately complex returns nicely.
What's not so great: Navigation is very simplistic
