Better than ever!

It seems like in years before, I spent way more time answering "no" to questions about uncommon tax situations, but this time, all those areas were laid out for me, and I could pick and choose. I suppose I might have missed some obscure deductions, but for a VERY plain-vanilla return like mine, it was much faster and easier!
What's great about it: New, more streamlined format means you don't have to answer obviously inapplicable questions.
What's not so great: Still a tad confusing, especially if you have both employee and nonemployee income.

I have been using turbo-tax for about ten years now and I love it. Why anyone would pay hundreds of dollars to have your taxes prepared is beyond me. Turbo tax walks you right through it. Easy peasy lemon squeezie.
What's great about it: Simple, fast.

simple and easy, even with investment transactions

Been using TurboTax for 15 years. Always easy to use, effective, and comprehensive. The standard edition even handled my Roth conversion in 2010. I'd recommend to anyone.

I like the way I can pick my items to edit or have Turbo Tax walk me through everything and tell me what is necessary.
What's great about it: Easy, step by step

Lacking in foreign accounts handling

TurboTax is not keeling up with the new tax rules. Maybe time to go to a real CPA.
What's great about it: TurboTax I have used many years, but this year I am unsure.
What's not so great: Missing guidance on foreign accounts declarations. Forms missing. Going to CPA
