Super-Turbotax

I rate this product a "10". This is my fourth year using the Deluxe program. I would like to see more desciptive information and examples of application in the "details". Several times when I had to choice a method or between two terms I didnt understand I had to try both ways to determine which was the appropriate choice. Examples would have saved me a lot of time by making the proper choice the first time, without trial and error. Thanks.
What's great about it: The step by step Q/A makes it very simple to follow and input information. This is my fouth year using the tax product.
What's not so great: Easier process to navigate back to particular item w/o going back through an entire section.

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 15 years, it has been the easiest program I have ever used. If your knowledge is limited TT walks you through everything. I really like being able to download my W2's instead of having to input all that data plus no errors in input. I also like the display of the previous year data as you input the current year. Error check and audit risk assessment is also great. In the 15 yrs of using Turbo Tax I have never had a problem and filing electronically I usually receive my refund on average in about 7 days or less.
I would recommend and have to all.

TurboTax is the perfect filing tool

This year I decided to fire my accountant and file my tax return myself via TurboTax. At first I was intimated at the prospect of doing this on my own. However, as soon as TurboTax started asking its first questions and seeing the user-friendly interface, I knew it was going to be an easy process. While it took a long time to file my return (due to my own circumstances), TurboTax would constantly update me on what my refund status would be. It was exciting to see it go up and sad to see it go down (way down!), but at least very pleasant to know where I would end up when it was time to file. I will use TurboTax again next year!
What's great about it: Very quick and easy process. Everything was well explained, helping file my first return an efficient experience.
What's not so great: Having to pay for a second state return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Finished in the nick of time

I usually do my taxes at least a month in advance, this year due to my work schedule, I waited until the last couple of days before they were due to start, and I was stressed! The software copies in last year's data, lets me use it's deductible and makes it so much easier to finish in record time. The review, checks and tax advisor are all major features for me. Thanks for a great product.
What's great about it: Best questions to walk you through the maze
What's not so great: Just a long process.....no matter how you do this!

good overall easy to work with small box at the top of the program with refund total help simulate extra thought to rechecking of imformation entered

It works ok...

Basically good, but at one point the program asked if my child made more than $3800... I answered no, but I was wrong. Later I wanted to change it to yes but there was no way to get back to that question. Spent (wasted) a lot of time looking. Finally found it on a worksheet.
What's great about it: gets the job done without too much pain
What's not so great: fixing values or answers is not always possible
