Turbotax is awesome!

TurboTax very easy to use and provides lots of helpful information when filing taxes. It would be nice if the software could tell if you needed to file a state return based upon your state of residence. Been a user of TurboTax for 5 years now and would highly recommend.
What's great about it: The software is easy to use and provides lots of information for each subject and the topics within the subjects.
What's not so great: Not much. The software wanted to file a Tennessee state tax return and you don't need to file one for TN.

Overall, Turbo Tax is an excellent tax preparation software package. I have used it for years and it still delivers for easy filing at a fair price.

Ease of use

Turbo is easy to set up, easy to use, has great features to help maximize deductions such as donations valuation as well as reviews for credits for items such as education.
What's great about it: Fast, friendly imports and steps to completion.
What's not so great: Hard to uncheck the Presidential contribution

I've been using TurboTax since I believe the 80's. It is so easy to use and triggers things I did not think of. It is great!!

I've used Turbo Tax since it's infancy; I think it was called Secure Tax back then. That's what it done and made me feel is Secure about my, "Taxes".
What's great about it: Maintains an exceptional ability to help the average American.
What's not so great: Kinda expensive!!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I always feel confident about our returns when we use Turbo Tax. Very little paperwork before sitting down to do the taxes.

Saves confusion

When used year after year, Turbotax carries forward figures from your previous years returns. Very helpful for dividends and Capital gains and losses.

I was surprised by a couple of things that I had never heard of before and resulted in a larger refund.
What's great about it: Very thorough. I liked how it went through all the possibilities.
