Sweet and simple

I have used Turbo Tax for several years, and have found it very user-friendly and easy to use. It is a bit pricey, though. Not sure how it compares to other tax software, since I have no basis for comparison. Definitely recommend for those people who, like myself, have no tax preparation background.
What's great about it: Step by step

I just finished filing my 2012 taxes and it went as smooth as the last time I used Turbo tax.
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: auto fill could be better
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The software was very easy this year. As a new homeowner, there were a lot of additional tax forms. The software made it very easy and even prompted me to add another deduction I had forgotten from last year.
What's great about it: Pretty fast, easy to enter information
What's not so great: I did have trouble finding some necessary information

Turbo tax review

Turbo tax is an excellent software, easy to use and its computations agree with my own calculations 100%. That is why I have been using it for about five years for now. I can also call their toll free number for any clarifications on tax issues.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Sould not charge for e-filing state taxes

This was very easy even someone that is not good on a computer can use this software. I will buy buying it for Christmas gifts next year.

Timelier than I thought

Purchased Ks return and it would not update the file from the Federal Return. Tried several times and it finally updated in the Finalizing stage, after all reviews. I knew it was not putting in the Income from the Federal return but could not prompt it to move it over. Had to cancel one return and start over. (state taxes only). Again it finally worked but what a headache.
What's great about it: Q+A was good and well designed
What's not so great: Having to repeat purchased state taxes several times
