Thorough and easy

Great software! I've used it for the last several years and it has taken a lot of the headache out of doing my federal taxes. The only area where I had any questions was with K-1 forms.
What's great about it: I liked the guided walkthroughs and the explanations were helpul and succint.
What's not so great: Sometimes deductions I was trying to get didn't reduce my tax due and it didn't tell me that immediately.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is an easy to use tool, secure and fast to use. It is perfect for me and time saving. The step by step guide allows for the process to be eas sailing. Totally recommend it to my friends and family.

Dependable year after year

Great product. I have a home based business and a full time job. It goes over everything I need from being an employee to a business owner. Walks me through my taxes for both step by step. Very easy to use and file with.
What's great about it: Easy to use step by step process
What's not so great: None That is why I use it year after year

Disappointed with TurboTax

This is the first year I used Turbo Tax and I have been using tax software for 7 years. The other software is so much more user friendly. I had several issues with saving my info. After saving when I returned to a form, the information was not there. I had to re-enter it. I was not happy. Turbo Tax is difficult to navigate to specific forms. I am returning to the other software next year, for sure. This one was even more expensive. Why, I know not!

Great Way for Beginner

Believe it people. Its a great way to do taxes. Much of the information was well explained for less confusion. This is my first time doing taxes and it went by smoothly. Great Job Turbo Tax!

Seems harder to use

I used to love TurboTax. This year I found it harder to use, some items that should have been carried over from last year weren't. I had to search for more guidance online than in the past. Sometimes questions were not asked in the step by step so that program could determine the answer for you. I was not impressed this year and may actually pay a tax preparer next year after years & years of using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Items filled in from last year, calcualtions done for you
What's not so great: Less guidance via questions, some things not carried over from last year

Easier than ever

This year was the quickest ever. TurboTax is getting better organized and easier to follow each year. I finished my returns in a few hours and am getting an even bigger refund than last year. I can't believe all those years I did it myself.
What's great about it: doesn't let you forget anything
