Saves Time for Students!

Great way to file taxes! Saves time and money and teaches you some things for the future.
What's great about it: Easy, Effective, Safe, Quick
What's not so great: Might add to the student section and ask about loans and what is owed throughout school. Or what you are studying? (Med)

Easy as pie

Although I use this every year, I always use the step-by-step method. It helps to trigger anything that might be different from one year to the next. Also, gives me a running total so I can see where things may be off or if I entered the wrong amount. TurboTax has never failed me. One of the finer things in life making a daunting tax fun.
What's great about it: How easy it was to file.
What's not so great: Nothing

What's not so great: No intro warning to have ALL items ready to input

Schedule C frustration

Upon file review of my 1040, error check kept asking for our home business vehicle information despite us not having one or putting any expenses for one. I just clicked "continue" to move beyond the error screen to e-file. I completed all the steps for e-file including paying for state filing and then got sent back to the vehicle information form before it would transmit the forms. I then tried to exit e-file and file by mail, but Turbotax told me I had already paid for the filings and needed to transmit my forms electronically - which of course it wouldn't let me do. I ended up putting 0's and made up dates in the vehicle form so I could get out of this purgatory.
What's great about it: easy data entry
What's not so great: linked an incorrect form

NOT happy with Turbo Tax for year 2012

Buy CD/Program from local store, and file my family Tax return by using Turbo Tax every year. This year I go through ON LINE version, and facing lots of trouble. - Have good experience when I file our Joint return, but NOT able to file tax return for my other family member. - Eventually I have to install CD/Program in my PC, then I am able to finished my rest of work. - NOT HAPPY WITH TURBO TAX FOR YEAR 2012 -

What's not so great: Face techinical difficulties in year 2012

No Planning for next year!

Virtually impossible to tell what tax bracket I'm in and to know how much more or less to make to get to higher bracket or lower if they don't change. Or to easily find what the effect of ____ amt. of extra income would be on the taxes. It used to be easier in the past - now the only way seems to be to put in fake numbers to a new return.
And when you print - there's always extra junk printed and you don't know what it'll be till your ink is used up.

What's great about it: Works as always, I keep using it because of the import from prev year feature
What's not so great: No easy way to plan for future taxes. Very Poor Print options. Made same mistake 8 straight years on State.

Fast and Easy

I liked the error check process. If an error is detected, the software would take you right to it to be corrected.
What's great about it: The walk through process was great.
What's not so great: Sometimes, the software includes forms in your file that you don't need.
