Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for over ten years and really like it...it continues to be excellent and has caught many deductions I would have missed had I not gone through the step by step.
What's great about it: Easy to use, especially when you use it year to year so it pulls previous years' information.
What's not so great: I live in Texas so no State Return but Turbo Tax really really wants to file a state return....stop asking ...

This product is so easy to use with it's step by step guidance. Updates are simple to install. When finished it reviews your return & makes suggestions for possible deductions that you've missed. The error check and audit review give peace of mind where before using this product the worry was there until your refund was received or the check was cashed. All it takes to be audited is a simple mistake. This product makes sure all your t's are crossed. We will continue to use Turbo Tax for our returns.
What's great about it: Step by step guidance.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good program, I've been using it for years.
What's great about it: Really liked the help and suggestion notes along with the ability to go back to check for omissions or mistakes.
What's not so great: School deduction explaination such as what to do about Coverdale distrobution to pay private school tuition was needed

Quick and easy - cost too much when you have to pay for State return.
What's not so great: Having to pay for State Form -this should be included in the cost!

Good product for inexpensive DIS tax return. Wish it was more user friendly with less common deductions like missions trips and related expenses.
What's great about it: Straight forward, ease of navigating
What's not so great: Didn't get help on some more detailed deductions and turbo community was no help with no answers to the questions we had

Overall Great Time & Stress Reducer

I panicked when I saw how TT handled entry of 1099-R info. I found no on-line help for this particular issue. I went to IRS site for instr. & to look at form; TT didn't handle this like IRS. It looked like TT put me in an even higher brackett because of how TT totaled all as income. So I called and held on. I saw nothing I could do except pay all & fix "error" using paper forms later. When I got to end, I saw TT handled non-taxable portion correctly. This is not how it appeared. I spent much time trying to correct and det. if this was program error. Would be helpful to change this.
I also had 4 payment vouchers for Fed amt due, but preferred 1.

What's great about it: I love the advice. Also helpful to see Q&A of other filers
What's not so great: While adding info for 1099-R, TT added total in the screen, not taxable portion. I thought there was a TT error.

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 5 years now and it lets me file taxes very quickly without much effort. Great experience each year.
What's great about it: Works great for my tax situation. Not complicated.
