FILED AGAIN

My tax repairer had a death in the family so guess who had to do their own taxes this year. It was less painful than expected, but still took a long time. I am hoping it will allow me to be more organized for next year.
What's great about it: Leads you through step by step
What's not so great: Could have more info on investment and IRA stuff

when you jump back from a sub topic you don't go to right where you were in the main screen. annoying!! also you can't always tab through the screens, have to use the scroll bar...just needs some polishing
What's great about it: SO easy to user
What's not so great: returning from subcategory doesn't put you where you were

The Two-State Experience
on April 14, 2013

I'm impressed at the level of improvements you've made to the user experience in the purchase, install and walk-through. I especially liked the added comments on the install/set-up like "Yes, it seems like this is taking a long time..." Exactly! Nice touch
I have long used the forms for use of my car for business. I found it very frustrating that I couldn't find any descriptive data to identify how many months of special use this vehicle was given. What?? TurboTax automatically filled this out based, I'm assuming, on other data I input. It was fine for my 1040, fine for Oregon, and somehow, California had a problem with it, but I couldn't find out what the problem was or how to fix it. I discovered the override button to get out of the reported error loop, but who knows what this is going to do to my return?!
I walked through all three returns again before filing, Then we started into the process to pay for the state e-filing, and out of the blue, up comes another exception on a form that I had backed out of (the home office -- I do work from home and was looking for the place to add extra charges levied on my cell phone for making business calls, something I couldn't report to be reimbursed on). I didn't want to declare use of a home office, but I couldn't find a way to cancel/delete that form out of the mix. Again, is this going to come back to bite me? : {
Granted, because I moved this year (hence the two state forms), I was concerned about trying to capture everything I needed in automated software. Procrastination, however, drove the decision and I was pleasantly surprised to find the process so easy to go through.
May I offer as how making me choose a nickname for this review made me go through the review process several times before finding a nickname that hadn't already been specified? You guys are brilliant software professionals: SURELY you could auto-generate something unique without putting reviewers through tedious iterations....??
What's great about it: I could purchase and complete both states I needed to do, cover all my moving expenses as well
What's not so great: There was no way to request both states when I purchased TurboTax online.
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

My overall experience is always very positive. I have used Turbo Tax for years. I like that information can be automatically transferred and that I can refer to last years taxes for guidance. My questions are always answered. I do enjoy doing my taxes.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: When I realized I needed to go back to make a change, I had trouble getting back to the original questioning and forms.
