EASY, EASY, EASY

I have been a TurboTax member for at least 5 years and it is always easy to file. The only problem I had was finding the $1 Other Deduction. I could not find the $1 so I just left it on the return.
What's great about it: Can access IRS explanation info thru TurboTax
What's not so great: Had deduction of $1 on other and could not find

Could not do my children's income tax easily.
Better than reading and filing paper and erasing. Not as good as historically used. Maybe it is because I got an iMac this year.
What's great about it: Walks you through and checks errors
What's not so great: Cannot find place to change password. Cannot use while router broken, as I learned. Had some areas auto checked.

It takes the "monsterous" task of trying to figure out what forms you may need and puts them right in front of you one by one as little tasks to do. When you enter data, the program will prompt you to act on the entry with questions, this takes a lot of guess work out of preparing your taxes. I like that the program can get your info from your W2s automatically. I also like that there are so many "explanations" to help make the correct decisions, Doing your own taxes is only possible with the help of Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: The program prompts you to the next item
What's not so great: Sometimes you think you left something out and program will not easlily let you go back.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Stress Free!

My husband and I have a pretty difficult tax situation and I find that turbo tax really helps me to find all the possible deductions I can get. I had a major question this year and got great help from calling to talk with a CPA. People keep telling that I should go to an accountant to do it for me, but I really like knowing exactly what I'm putting in and getting out.
What's great about it: So easy to move around through the return and you have access to free help!
What's not so great: Some of the questions or possible answers weren't totally clear.

Barely finished with late corrected TDAmer Forms

Turbo Tax keeps getting better every year. I have been using it for 15 years now and am glad to see the improvements year to year. Keep up the good work Turbo Tax Team.
What's great about it: Seed file from previous years, guide, efile, good explanations
What's not so great: Print out should number pages along with pdf file.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Overall it's difficult to make a mistake.
What's great about it: Investment downloads save a lot of time
What's not so great: Foreign tax entries were confusing due to missing check box

repeated downloads and still no eFiling

This year has not been a stellar year for TurboTax. First my state refused to accept their filings due to errors in the software (they corrected these after a while). Then, after doing a final update and download on the day I wanted to file, the software said that my update was out of date (it had happened about 10 minutes earlier) so no eFiling. Sheesh!
What's great about it: import from last year
What's not so great: state returns were dinged by my state as incorrect - efiling did not work correctly
