No longer king of the hill but good tax package

TTax is a good package that is logically laid out and reasonably easy to trace items from tax form to entry informaton and from entry to tax form. I've used it for years and value it for that functionality.
However, despite its premium price, it is coming back to its pack of competitors. I've used it for over 10 years and am sorry to say that.
Traceability remains great - I can find out where an entry goes and check things easily. Navigation between EasyGuide and Explore on my Own seems more difficult than earlier years but it works overall.
Help package is not a plus. Linking the section directly to the IRS publication chapter would be helpful (hot linked) vice just saying go look at this pub. This could be made more helpful without an apparently significant amount of programming. TTax Community approach to questions doesn't do much for me. Devote some resources to the obvious questions!

2012 Tax return software greatest ever

I have used TURBO TAX for more than 20 years. I was never sorry. TURBO TAX makes my tax return work easy.
What's great about it: direct to the point - no guessing
What's not so great: nothing was difficult - keep on making the best tax return software

I had a few more issues this year, such as retiring at the beginning of the year, so I had different types of income (pension and Social Security). However, I found TT was intuitive enough to get me through that bit with little head-scratching. We have been using TT since 2004 and I believe it is and has been an excellent choice!
What's great about it: almost everything
What's not so great: I wish the charitable contributions section could be alphabetical

Last minute tax preparer

I've used turbo tax for the last few years, it has gotten better and quicker to use. My tax situation is not complex, but it's nice to have the software to walk you through the process.
I am kind of annoyed by the ads that have appeared over the years for their ad on services, nothing terrible, but if it continues to grow I may have to look somewhere else, but for now it's fine.

Easy as pie

Turbo tax has always been my tax app of choice. It's easy to install, update and use. It provides plenty of help for explaining complicated tax rules and regulations.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate and use - made takes almost fun
What's not so great: Updates available the day before taxes were due
