EASY to use

Love the e-filing - I am a late filer so this is perfect.
What's great about it: The directions were extremely clear & easy to follow. If I had to go back, the previous data was saved.

User friendliness at risk

I like the general layout and, after about 10 years, am used to it. That familiarity probably keeps with with TTax vice another product.
Layout is logical and easy to follow - particularly when you want to track an entry either to the tax form or back from the tax form.
However, it seems that the navigation (particularly when shifting between EasyGuide and Explore on my Own) doesn't seem as robust as earlier versions. At times, it's even unclear it you've fully completed an area or not.
In the past, i've rarely used the help feature. Having tried it a few times this year, I was underwhelmed. While I like the reference to the tax publication, it could be better if TTax opened to the relevant chapter of that publication directly. While that has challenges, they are not that significant. Appealing to the Have a Question section wasn't very useful. That area would benefit from either a better briefing of what to expect or more standard questions.
Bottom line: I was a disappointed this year. Price goes up; quality is not keeping pace.

Painless

I use Turbo Tax every year and it really makes me aware of everything out there that I am able to deduct! Love the product!
What's great about it: Walked me through every step!
What's not so great: Updates - I was nervous about downloading them (afraid I wouldn't be able to retrieve my returns afterward)

What I found helpful is in Forms, the individual charities are listed alphapbetically. It would be nice if the Guide Me section had alphabetical listing of last year's charities.
What's great about it: Continually stronger integration of program and questions
What's not so great: Tedious following the "Guide Me"

I've used TurboTax for over a decade and will continue to do so. I can prepare my taxes at my own pace, and when we hit an item that requires paperwork or a little research, TurboTax is patient and immediately helpful.
I hate paying taxes, but I can't imagine an easier way to file them.
What's great about it: I can prepare my return at my own pace. It is quick and easy.
What's not so great: I don't like paying taxes at all.

Another Tax Filing made easy thanks to TurboT

I've been using TurboTax for many, many years. I've considered other services and software, but my tax filing is relatively easy and filing with Turbo Tax is very user friendly. I have high confidence built, over the many years of using it. Like one review I read, "You get what you pay for." Turbo Tax is top rated by the experts.
What's great about it: Accurate, user friendly, use with confidence
What's not so great: higher price than others, but worth it
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Turbo Tax 2012

This is the first year I used Turbo Tax for business. I accomplished the tax returns for several small business clients with no problem. It was fantastic to see those returns import into the personal tax returns screens. Thank you for making my job easier! My only complaint would be the screens for importing from Quickbooks. I created a real quagmire when I imported numbers that landed in the wrong line. Best to proceed with great caution, or enter numbers manually.
What's great about it: I found the personal tax version easy to use, and very complete. I particularly like the screens that offered more info
What's not so great: The business version was somewhat complex
