Got Me Through Tax Season.....Again!

I used to use a competitor's software, but found it very confusing, especially the state instructions. In fact one year, I gave up and went into one of their offices instead - where they were not even knowledgable about their own software!
I've been using TurboTax for three years now, and still feel secure in the results I'm gettting.

What's great about it: step by step, examples, prompts
What's not so great: once in a while there is a field that isn't 100% clear

Very Cumbersome

I've always done my taxes manually and this year I thought I'd try Turbotax.
Big Mistake!!
Manually takes a very short time.
TurboTax took 2 hours or more and printed more than 28 pages of documents that I'll probably never need

Saved Time & Money!

I have used this program for several years and have always been very happy with the results. It is fast and accurate. I like the State and Federal Tax in one program and the ease of calling up last years return for basic information. This saves me time and aggravation.
What's great about it: Fast and accurate
What's not so great: Nothing negative at all
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've use TurboTax for many years and it has been the expert I needed to get through my taxes. It doesn't have all the answers but usually points out situations of concern. This year I had concerns about having an IRA and a 401k and had to research outside of TurboTax to get a complete answer. Overall, it seems like the tool worked much better this year than it has for the previous couple years.
What's great about it: Catches things I was not aware of.
What's not so great: Had to go outside of TurboTax to get clarification

2012 Refund

Love Turbo Tax. My filing is fairly straightforward. And this is the 6th consecutive year that I’ve use Turbo Tax. Will continue to do so. Very easy to follow, and the instruction is very good. Also, once you’re familiar with the forms, it’s easy to jump around and return to areas you want to review.
What's great about it: Quick, easy to use. Instructional.
What's not so great: None really.

Taxes

I cannot imagine filing taxes if I couldn't use Turbo Tax - it has made my tax filing beyond simple and efficient. I have used it for many years now and would never use any other program. The cost is a little prohibitive and I had to save up to get it, but I would not have considered doing anything else. I have learned to smile at tax time again, not only because of the refund but also because I am not sitting here for a couple of days checking and rechecking figures, facts, etc.
THANK YOU Turbo Tax for giving me my life back even though I have to file taxes!!!
What's great about it: Absolutely easy
What's not so great: cost of filing a state return
