I feel confident that got all the deductions I qualified for. I don't think ever would've thought of them had I tried it on my on. I definitely will enjoy my refund!!!!

Reliable product ... Needs better support for K-1s

TurboTax continues a long trend of a useful product helping novice tax prepares do their taxes themselves. For those of us with Investments in Stocks, Mutual Funds and Limited Liability Partnerships (i.e. think oil and gas investments), Turbo Tax Deluxe is lacking. I wish TT spent more time beefing up support for K-1 forms and requested that user's confirm prior year information before blindly copying it over. It was not until I reviewed my Tax return did I notice there were errors on the K-1. For those of us that invest in oil and gas partnerships (i.e. publically traded MLPs), you will want to dig up the K-1 form and possibly look else where. TT does not do a good job preparing the K-1 and omits required information in Boxes 13, 19 and 20 of the K-1 form.
What's great about it: Efficient product for transferring prior year information to current year return.
What's not so great: TurboTax Deluxe does not fully support K-1s, particularly those received for publically traded companies
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

K-1's

Need to have a clear explanation of taxable limits or consequences in a tax deferred account (i.e. invested in a 401-K, IRA & Roth IRA) for investments (MLP,LLP, & LLC's) that have to provide a K-1
What's not so great: Help is not in depth enough

Taxes Made Easy!

I've used Turbo Tax for several years now and have always been completely satisfied with the software. I especially like being able to click links to explore other deductions or claims that I might be able to use. I've learned so much about the tax system by using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Always Fast, Easy and Reliable
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Tax Filling Experience

As every year, this year I also have a fantastic experience filling tax return with Turbo-Tax. It is very easy and step by step that a 5th grade student can do it. No I did not ask my 5th grade daughter, but it was a breeze. Thanks Turbo Tax.

TurboTax is so easy direct and simple to use

I've used Turbotax for years. It's great that it remembers the previous year's return. I used to do taxes by hand - for decades; now, I'd never go back to manual tax returns (and WHY pay a preparer 100's of hard-earned dollars to do something so simple?). Now that my 1040 is not so simple Turbotax remains easy to navigate. I'm now married to a Tax Accountant (she's an Enrolled Agent) and WE use Turbo Tax for our personal tax preparation.
e-Filing at the end makes it simple. Charitable contributions? use 'It's Deductible' which integrates simply into Turbotax.

Better than any other software

I used turbo tax deluxe and it really worked the way they had mentioned on their website and product reviews.It guided me very well and in the end I got the best return.
What's great about it: Very easy to file and very good return
What's not so great: Took little time in starting.
