Turbotax is very easy to use. Before I used Turbotax, I dread preparing my taxes - afraid I would make errors. It walks you through the entire process in terms the normal person can understand.

The ease of filing

I found this years Turbo Tax to be extremely easy. From start to finish it took about an hour and a half to complete. I was very happy to complete our taxes myself this year. I will do it this way again, especially when we do not have a difficult return to complete. Nothing special, so it was easy to complete. I loved all the prompts to make sure I was on track.
What's great about it: Loved the simplicity

Peace of Mind

I've used Turbo Tax for many years to do my taxes and it has always given me peace of mind that my tax are done correctly and I haven't missed anything. I like that reviews the return and finds any where that it thinks there could be errors, or questions for the irs.
What's great about it: Easy to Use Program, Reviews what I've done
What's not so great: Some times I get lost at where I am. I don't completely understand what it is asking.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Even though I wait till the deadline, I know I can trust Turbo-Tax to deliver a quick, efficient and accurate return, Been using it for years and have recommended it to many folks who have had the same experience.
What's great about it: easy to follow and looks for every deduction possible!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Quick, easy, needs one additional prompt

Once my employer and financial institutions got me my documents, I had a couple hours work (would have been several days by hand), and I was done. The only problem I ran into was that it didn't prompt for short-term disability information when I indicated we had a child last year (many employers use short-term disability to pay maternity leave); when a user indicates that they had a child, the software should prompt to determine whether the mother received short-term disability to ensure that the income isn't missed.
What's great about it: Once I had all of my documents, I was done quickly
What's not so great: Doesn't catch a common complication

not the same turbo

if you're outside the normal fill it out and file it... this tax program is getting more and more complicated. i've spend an hour going in circles by clicking links just to try to make an amended state form... would have been easier to find a federal form and fill it out myself.
when the instructions prompt you to look for various selections, it's not even the same wording.. like the prompts were made for a previous edition and never updated.
i've used this tax software for approx 15 years and the past few have been increasingly frustrating.

Long Time Turbo Tax User

I've used Turbo Tax for years and it's always been good. The tax code keep getting more and more complicated but Turbo Tax keeps the hassle to a minimum.
