Fired my tax man years ago and haven't looked back. Turbo tax has been doing the job since! So so easy!
What's great about it: Checks everything for you no hassels
What's not so great: wish you still got one free state... miss that on the deluxe

Taxes Made Easy

We have been using TurboTax for the last 8 years and it continues to get better. We have used the electronic filing which is easier and makes paying or refunds easier to complete. Also if you have to go back after you file to enter an amended report, all of your data is there. We also use Quicken for our finances and bringing in all the records from there makes entering the taxes even better.
What's great about it: TurboTax leads you through the deductions to make sure you get the best. Easier to understand the tax laws.
What's not so great: In some cases, the calculations and basis for including or excluding a deduction is not apperent or not explained.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax makes filing as easy as 1 2 3. Great for tax experts who know what they are doing and even better for every day people. Helps walk them through everything so they do not miss a deduction. I would recommend to first timers and old hats alike.
What's great about it: Excellent step by step
What's not so great: NONE!

Quick and easy. No brains required. Walks you through all possibilities and finds many you may have missed! Don't know why everyone isn't using this product.

Just the Ease of Filing :-)

Great for simpler, uncomplicated tax returns that you may or may not have additional questions. This year, my wife had additional income from an independent contract work. Turns out that we have to file her a self employed status. Fortunately, it was straight forward, and the information provided was enough to file it away with prompts to answer all of my immediate questions.
What's great about it: Very simple - once you gathered all your stuff
What's not so great: None for the price I paid for

Well, I will have more details of my feedback after I get my return and no mistakes are reported. In the past a friend of my husband "helped us" file. 2 years we ended up having to pay in months later due to a mistake! The same mistake 2 years in a row! Ugh.....
What's great about it: I liked how Turbo Tax walked me though everything!
What's not so great: That I did not do this sooner.....
