Great Tax Prep Program would not use anything else

Great program. Easy step by step guidance to help you complete your return. E-files was a snap quick and eary. Quick text and email updates on e-filing status.
What's great about it: updated refund amount with every entry
What's not so great: have to sroll down alot

Every year Turbo Tax fails to fix some the deficiencies in the state return, particularly surrounding the subtractions for K-12 education expenses. Turbo Tax doesn't deal with the fact that kids are in two grades in one calendar year. Turbo Tax also fails to give instructions about what expenses are "qualifying K-12 education expenses. Turbo Tax only asks if you have any. It doesn't say what they are. One has to go to the MN Dept of Revenue site to get the info. Basically, Turbo Tax gives full info on federal returns and not on state returns. It gives one the blanks to fill out on the state return, but fails to explain them.
What's great about it: Federal returns are detailed and have instructions.
What's not so great: State return, MN, does not provided enough instruction.

This software product is user friendly. This is the 5th year I have used the product. If your looking for a poduct to do your taxes, this is the one.
What's great about it: Walks you through the process
What's not so great: Have to pay additional money for state e-file

Confident Correct return!

This year my family was in the position of paying taxes. I was glad that Turbo Tax asked all the right questions. I am a CPA by trade but do not specialize in Tax. However, I feel extremely confident that TT examined all areas in income and looked for deductions that I could take. The extra explanations that were clickable easily allowed for further clarity and explanations.
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: didn't keep routing and bank info for State return

The software loaded easily, the directions were step-by-step, but you still have to provide all the information. I had to search through old mail until I found my property tax bill, but I finally found it. Remember, garbage in, garbage out. That is the way software works. This was the first time I used TurboTax, and I will probably use it next year as well. One help was the program told me I could file as Head-of-household instead of Single. I think that saved me from paying too much.
What's great about it: It appeared to be thorough, without being exhaustive.
What's not so great: I hate doing taxes, but it was possible with TurboTax
