TurboTax is Awesome

I use TurboTax every year. As I have gotten married and my family has grown I get more worried that I will not be able to handle the complexity of our returns but with TurboTax it is easy. It walks me through each step and has great tools to look up questions.

Need a STRONGER warning regarding OS requirements

Please make it more clear on the packaging so that this is not discovered at the last minute. The CD worked last year but did not work this year so on Sat. 4/13/13 I had to scramble to upgrade our Mac.
What's great about it: Once a sufficient OS was obtained it's great
What's not so great: Our 10.5.8 mac did not support the CD

Simple and Easy

I've been using tax software for several years now, which was a huge adjustment for me after doing returns manually for many years. This year's version of Turbo Tax was the best version yet - simple and easy to use.
What's great about it: Very simple to use
What's not so great: Lots of ads/offers to purchase additional, non-essential services

Easy and fast

Step by step walk through the process helps you make sure you covered everything. A little hard figure out how to handle uncommon situations, but a few minutes in the forum usually will yield an answer. Sometimes the questions seem to never end about things that do not pertain to you, but that is what makes it so thorough. You can always jump out of the guide and venture on your own, which is great if you need to go back and fix something. I've been using turbo tax for 15 years and can't imagine any other way. I take itemized deductions, have investments and retirement, and a sole proprietorship. Turbo tax handles it all without problem.
What's great about it: quickly navigate step by step
What's not so great: Asks too many questions trying to cover all situations

The Trying Times of Tax Refunds

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and even though it changes from year to year, I've still been able to figure it out. Sometimes the questions are confusing and one of the things I really like is the "explain this" link. It's also very helpful to be able to go back and check information.
What's great about it: avoid headaches, use Turbo Tax
What's not so great: if at first you don't find what you're looking for, type in something else

Easy to use

There should be a more detail explanation of the lump sum payment for SSA form. On my wife's form on box three there was a line stating that part of the income included a payment for the year prior.
What's great about it: Easy to use because of the software questions for info
What's not so great: Better explanation of Lump Sum for SA

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. Its so much easier now however information about college students that are in a 5 year program getting MBAs is need. I find the tuition portion of the return confusing. Everything else is all good.
