So easy a caveman could do taxes.

By using info from the previous tax year, it really cuts down the time to enter the info and I really like the state preparation generated from the federal info I have to enter. And what could be better than e-filing whether you're getting a refund or paying up. Paying is a whole lot easier as well.
What's great about it: The "just answer the questions" format.
What's not so great: Can't think of a thing.

TurboTax Deluxe 2012

I have used TurboTax for years, it just gets better and better! This is the first time I had to report investments. I input the 1099 data provided by my broker, printed it, then erased it, and then let Turbo Tax Deluxe pull the data from my broker electronically. Perfect match. What a confidence builder!
What's great about it: First year to report investments, Deluxe pulled all the required information directly from my broker.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Seniors A Must

I'm a senior. I share cost with my children so it's more than affordable. I've been using Turbo Tax for 8 years and almost look forward to doing my taxes. It's easy,very easy to understand,very informable and I can do it at HOME at my own liesure. I can take days to do it if I want. When I first used it I found several things our Accountant wasn't deducting,such as Union Dues,and charging an enormous fee. I now use that extra money to treat myself to something I enjoy.THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH
What's great about it: Easy,Very unerstandable. Informs of things I wouldn' think of'
What's not so great: Absolutely NONE

Updating forms from applications purchased from retailers did not appear to be as seamless as applications purchased on line involving the establishing of an account with Turbo Tax (Intuit)
What's great about it: Very intuitive

Pleased but also piqued

This is my 3rd year of using Turbo Tax. In general I like it a lot. I was, however, rather ticked that the deluxe package that I purchased did not include the electronic filing for the state. I thought both were included. Probably the package said so in the fine print, but it still seemed rather greedy of Turbo Tax to do it this way. Last year I bought what seemed the same package that was a few dollars more that included both federal and state filing. This was a more classy way of selling a product than for you to interject the sales pitch at the end, when one has just finished the state return. A very calculated way to make more money. This left a negative impression on me rather than leaving a complete sense of satisfaction. Think about that when you're marketing your product. One can't help but think that Turbo Tax is making oodles of money and does not need to be so greedy.
What's great about it: user-friendly
What's not so great: Don't understand the Federal Carryover Worksheet

What's great about it: PRIOR YEAR CARRY-FORWARD, STEP BY STEP LEAD
What's not so great: LITTLE CONFUSING IN GETTING SOME QUESTIONS ANSWERED

turbo let me down

this is the 4th time I used turbo tax deluxe.have been more than pleased until this year, I started into the state return after it asked me if I wanted to use the 1 state that came with purchase. answered yes, but failed to open and wanted me to purchase another .After reading other comments it seems this is all too common with no help. guess a new choice for next year is in order..
What's great about it: federal return went like a snap
What's not so great: could not get state return to open...
