Efficient and Accurate

Provides for the preparation and submittal of tax information allowing flexible methods to enter and review information. Time savings and control of costs associated with the complexity of our tax laws.
What's great about it: Time savings, automatic calculations, error checking, resource library
What's not so great: Some restrictions, such as multiple 2106 forms not permitted for e-filing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Nice Refund from the Feds

Turbo Tax has sure come a long way over the years. A very easy tax program to use.
What's great about it: Easy to use, as always.
What's not so great: A bit more complicated this year.

So easy to use

I started using TurboTax in 2007 and have been thrilled with the ease of using this product. The only caution (not a "con" just a caution) that I would mention to users is to click on each "Explain this" or "Learn more" hyperlink. Sometimes you don't realize that the information you are inputting actually has to be adjusted due to tax rules. A lot of those hyperlinks may not apply and can be easily "skimmed", but those that do apply are super helpful. Thank you for making filing taxes easier than doing it the old fashioned way with tons of scratch paper and erasing!
What's great about it: Easy to Use Guide through all fields
What's not so great: After using it for years - NO CONS TO MENTION

Excellent except for 529 treatment

Millions of taxpayers are contributing to 529 plans, and I assume 10s of thousands take distributions each year. TT needs to figure out how to make this section less confusing. Read the community comments... there is a lot of confusion and "try this, then do that" kind of instruction. A big gap in an otherwise strong program.

Quick & Easy

I used TurboTax for the first time this year after using a CPA the previous ten years. I had multiple fed & state forms to file with Child & Deductions and the entire process was far easier than I thought it was going to be. It took a little time for me to double check everything but I was very happy with the service.
What's great about it: Enjoyed the ease of use & splicity, covered everything I was needing done.
What's not so great: None
Pros: I moved, I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Dependable

I've used Turbo tax for several years and like the way it's put together. I've never had issues with the way the SW runs, and feel pretty confident that it is gathering the info I need to get my best return. I like the way it keeps a running tab of my refund at the top, and shows immediately the changes as I make them. The Itsdeductable is very handy for donated items.
What's great about it: Easy to walk through
What's not so great: A little cumbersome locating specific things
