Smooth Sailing again this year

I've been using TurboTax for about 10 years and it just continues to get better. I was able to import much of my financial info and had very few problems. The biggest problem I had was sorting through and gathering information which I would have needed no matter how I filed my Taxes.
I did have a couple of questions about specific fields to be filled in, and did not find "instant" answers. I had to go the the online help and search. But that was only a minor problem.

What's great about it: Straight-forward, easy downloading of investment/banking info
What's not so great: specific help on data entry not interactive - had to search

Turbo Tax is easy to install and to use. The program prompts you for all your information when it is needed. You can click on hlep for explanations of items you don't understand or need carification on. It follows a logical progression, but also allows the user to move around or to hop to a different point.
What's great about it: Covered all the possibilities
What's not so great: Couldn't do a print screen

Quick forms and filing

Our tax return was completed in record time this year because TurboTax imported all our personal information from last year’s federal and state tax returns. I honestly feel that I captured all our income and deductions as the EasyGuide feature walked me through questions that jogged my memory of transactions that occurred last year. Once I entered the new information, filing was quick and easy using efile because our banking information was also taken from last year’s return. My federal and state returns were accepted the next day! Thank you TurboTax.
What's great about it: Most info copied from previous year's filing
What's not so great: none that I experienced

T/T NEVER LETS ME FORGET ANYTHING!

I have been using TT since BEFORE there were CD's. I have done my own returns since 1967 (before there were PC'S) and was so happy when TT was developed so I didn't have to read through all those tax manuals AND do all the math myself.
Having the ability to go through the "guided tour" and then being able to go back "step by step" to review specific items is a great benefit. The tips and hints are helpul, but the TT Community is REALLY a fantastic benefit.
It's Deductible is a great method of keeping track of all those little donations throughout the year, and providing a reliable method of valuing used merchandise is invaluable.

I have used it for 3 years now and have been very pleased with it. I do not have a complicated return but it still goes thru and gives me information that may be pertainent to my return.
What's great about it: Easy to follow & very helpful
What's not so great: Cost of having to buy new software every year

why do we have to do this

Your program is becoming more intuitive but yet if you select a review topic you get stuck in it, need a button that says "oh no, I really didn't mean to drill down in this topic, take me to the next review topic". Don't make be click "back" ten times...
As an benefit you could sacrifice your company and push for a flat expense tax.................................ha ha
