Tried and true

I've been using TurboTax for many years -- too many to even remember now but more than 15 I'm sure. It works well, I've never had trouble.
I would love it and give it 5 stars instead of 4 if at any point during the questions you could click and have it show you exactly where your result are being plugged into the forms.
What's great about it: Consistent
What's not so great: A little difficult to see where your answers are going on the forms

Making the yearly tax filing burdon easy

My overall experience with TurboTax goes back many years. I have used it since I can remember, I wouldn't use anything else! TurboTax takes the complexity out of filing taxes. It asks all the questions and then makes the determination as to be best filing you need to fit your situation.
What's great about it: Keeps all my information from last year!
What's not so great: A lot of updates, a little slow to get up and going

We have used Turbo tax for many years now. I think they have come along way to improve the questions so that you do not have any second thought. I recommend this program to everyone I know

This gets confusing if you want to make any deductions for a second business. I have a small business on the side. I have made a little money and I want my deductions to be easier. In some instances it wouldn't let me answer correctly. There were multiple choices and none of them fit. Under code 813000 for grant services, it listed me as clergy and wouldn't let me answer correctly for self employment taxes.
What's great about it: If you have easy deductions and income this is great
What's not so great: I don't llike that you have to scroll to the bottom each time to continue and scroll through all to go to the next

Simple to do it yourself...

People pay big money for tax professionals to enter their simple returns into a computer program just like Turbo Tax.
For a fraction of the cost, you can do your taxes yourself. It doesn't take long, if you have all your paperwork handy. Installation, update and preparation is a breeze. The software does all the math and always asks the right questions.

BEEN USING FOR YEARS, SAVES ME MONEY FROM HIRING A TAX PREPARER. IF YOU ARE PATIENT AND RETAIN ALL YOUR TAX FORMS, THERE IS NO REASON YOU CANNOT FILE YOUR OWN TAXES WITH TURBOTAX.
What's great about it: INVESTMENT INFO DOWNLOADED DIRECTLY
What's not so great: NONE
