disappointed in direction of TurboTax

I have used TurboTax for more then 7 years. This year was the most frustrating for me yet. As our taxes have become more detailed having quick, easy access to the federal publications dealing with deductions, limitations, HSA, mortgage, etc is critical. I was VERY disappointed in the number of steps it takes to simply get to the Federal publications. Then there was the use of terminology that changed from descriptor to descriptor in the mortgage point/origination fees. And when the instructions tell me there are "special circumstances" I'd like to be able to make sure mine is not one of those.
I appreciate the step by step aspect of this program, but it's cons will make me think twice and look at reviews of all my choices next year.

What's great about it: walk through steps
What's not so great: difficulty finding help topics, lack of ease to IRS publications, difference in wording in explanations
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use, eaasy to follow-lots of good sidebars with information to explain it all.
What's great about it: clear simple to follow and detailed

I've used TurboTax for my personal tax preparation for 10 years. It gets better each year. I like the fact that the software updates with the latest tax information each time you open the program.
What's great about it: Simple to use. Assures that you cover everything you need to cover.
What's not so great: Help information is not always complete.

Fast and Easy

I used to do taxes by hand. Then I discovered Turbotax and have never looked back. My wife hated taxes, but since she saw haw easy Turbotax is now she does our taxes.
What's great about it: Easy and intuitive. Fast, complete and leaves me feeling very comfortable with my refund.
What's not so great: $20 to file state electronically.
