Always Easy

Before Turbo Tax, I usually had to file for an extension because it was so hard to figure out exactly what the IRS wanted: how to calculate the correct numbers and where it was supposed to be recorded. Turbo Tax takes all the stress out of filling out the forms. I don't always have all my records on Quicken to fit the questions asked, but it is easy enough to change the categories to group information together to answer the question.
What's great about it: Easy to use and easy to understand
What's not so great: My Quicken categories didn't match the questions Turbo Tax asked. I had to go in and redo the medical categories to fit
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax simplifies complicated issues

I had a very complicated tax year with business expenses, job hunting expenses, a larger number of in kind donations, and income from retirement accounts. Turbo tax made it easy [although still long] to go step by step through the pages and get all of the new items listed properly.
What's great about it: Ease of understanding, accurate, good help
What's not so great: Still takes a while to go through screens that do not apply, too much advertising

Easy Refund

I used to do my own taxes for years until the IRS and I disagreed over the EIC for 2 years in a row. Since then I have used turbo tax and it is by far much simpler and the e-file saves me time and money. I love the way it walks you trough all the areas and makes sure you do not miss out on anything.
What's great about it: Easy to work

Had trouble, but ok in the end

State taxes were rejected, received email notification, but couldn't understand what the error was, and didn't know how to fix it. Website did not lead me through fixing errors like it leads me through everything else. Took me over an hour to figure out what was wrong. Resubmitted but not sure errors are corrected.
What's great about it: Federal was easy, got big return
What's not so great: state rejected, couldn't figure out what was wrong

Liked Turbo Tax because it made it easy to follow the step by step directions. I will talk all my friends to use Turbo Tax for their taxes.

I have been using TurboTax since the 90's and have been very pleased with its quality and continuous improvements over the years.
What's great about it: Ease of input, automatic linking to underlying spreadsheets and forms, roll forward from prior years returns
What's not so great: improved help mesaging, but one has to admit that the IRS documentation is confusing to source info

Good process flow

I felt that Turbo Tax continued to meet my expectations for personal tax filing software. I am a returning customer and look to continue using Turbo Tax in the future due to it's ease of use. I appreciated that there was a thorough check at specific intervals within the session and that the file is periodically saved automatically.
My ONLY con in the review was related to the total cost, from purchase to e-filing w/state, using an automatic deduction from my return as payment. Turbo Tax remains cheaper than using a private tax specialist, so I cannot complain. Overall, I am satisfied and will continue to use Turbo Tax in the future.
