Great Product!!

Easy and painless, this is the best tax software I have used, Thank You Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Easy to understand, helpful, and Quick!
What's not so great: No Free State E-File.

Processing hold

“Email from TTX states "The IRS is not ready to accept tax returns that have certain deductions or credits in them - like yours". IAW IRS's listing there are many forms included in returns that will hold up return processing until March timeframe. My form 5695 is on the list and is only a $40.00 credit. This is going to hold up my $3K return until probably April. Looks like TTX could give you an option and recommend not submitting form unless it provides a significant credit. It would be nice if TTX had a box in the software that states "processing will be held up by IRS and this form#Ex.5695# will give you an additional $__ on your return"? In my case probably insignificant. Looks like TTX dropped the ball on this one.
What's great about it: Used TTX for Years. Each year more user friendly. Rely on TTX to keep me aware of IRS changes (Before return submittal)
What's not so great: Does not keep user aware of IRS problems such as processing hold.

Continues to be Easy to Use

Have been using TurboTax for years but I remember what it was like to fill in the forms myself. I appreciate the simplicity and peace of mind using TurboTax provides me.

TurboTax OK, Mac Quicken not so much

TurboTax worked well. I just wish Intuit supported their other Mac products at the same level.
What's great about it: Pulls carry over data from previous years, saving lots of work.
What's not so great: Mac users not supported well for other Intuit products

Used Many Years but Upset This Year

I have been using Turbo Tax for almost 10 years now and it has been easy to use and gives me a sense of sucurity that it is done correctly. However, this year there was an issue with the files not being able to be e-filed if anyone used a 8889 form. This form is required for HSA health expenses that are paid out of an existing account. I have been doing this for 3 years now and this year it come up with an error. After 2-3 weeks a work around was issued by TT and they said to just say that we are enrolled in a high deductable plan even though we are not. I had to use this work around to submit, but don't feel right about doing this. I have never had an audit before and pray this does not raise any red flag.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Poor Support

Easy Tax Preparation

I have been using Turbo Tax for 8 or 9 years. It is very user friendly and makes doing your taxes so easy. It use to take me about 8 hours to do taxes and now it takes longer to gather my records then it does to complete the tax return.
What's great about it: Like Everything about the program
What's not so great: Could not find to complain about

The tax software was easy to use for tax year 2012. I was able to complete my return in about an hour.
What's great about it: Easy to follow all qustions
What's not so great: IRS slow to send electronic refund

I found this not only helpful but very easy to use

I like this tax prepare kit but it was awful that I had to wait to submit my taxes and that I had to mail the amendment for my sons taxes which delayed mine. That was frustrating.
What's not so great: didnt like that I could not efile certain forms.
