Tax Sotware review

Solid program with very good audit and checking features. I have been using Turbotax since 1998 and it keeps getting better and better.
What's great about it: Easy, Quick and Accurate
What's not so great: Cost of electronic filing of State Tax forms
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

E-filing is not a problem of Turbo Tax, it is always the government red tape. I have now transmitted mine this year for the third time and hopefully they will not reject it again. I always recommend Turbo Tax to anyone...it is awesome
What's great about it: Had all forms needed and easily walked through
What's not so great: e-filing is a challenge each year

What's great about it: I am A retired CPA and Turbo Tax is the easiest tax program I have found.

The prompted question simplified the filing process. You didn't have to guess if you were complying with law.
What's great about it: Prompted questions make it easier to complete taxes
What's not so great: Hard to go back and find a specific area you wat to review

Not as good as in the past

I have used Turbo Tax for 7 years, and I have liked using it. I am an engineer, so I can do math. However, I am not trained in the complexities of tax law and government math. Turbo Tax has taken the confusion out of understanding how we pay the government. It is a great program and will even educate you on how your expenses and deductions change your tax burden or return. My only complaint this year is that the software kept auto populating information into the wrong schedules in my return. Without initially answering questions, I had to go remove expenses from areas that those expenses didn't belong. I have never had that problem with Turbo Tax, so maybe this is the first year I have experienced a glitch. Overall, it is a good program.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate
