I'm DONE!

Turbo tax is like having a tax consultant at your side whenever you need it. The program goes through all the possibilities in a way that is manageable. I'll continue to be a Turbo Tax user as long as I can.
What's great about it: After several years using turbo tax, I feel I know it works for me better than any other option
What's not so great: Had difficulty finding the section for Self employed SEP plans

Used Turbo Tax for a few years and each year it seems to get easier and a little better. Great for simple returns but also gives all the information you need for more complicated ones.
What's great about it: Everything transfers from previous year - info downloadable
What's not so great: Too much information to sort through for simple return

If Only The IRS Worked So Well

Turbo Tax has been a mainstay in my tax preparation for at least the last 10 years. The program walks even the least knowledgeable tax payer through the IRS maze without a hitch while allowing the true tax wonk the ability to get in and work the forms.
Regardless of the method chosen, tax payers can rest assured that the calculations are 100% accurate.
What's great about it: Step by Step is foolproof. Integrates with "ItsDeductible" Ability to jump between Step by Step and actual "Forms"
What's not so great: Would like to see "what if" scenarios side by side with current calculations

The changes to the tax laws are very difficult to navigate and frankly I would be lost without TurboTax.
What's great about it: Turbotas takes complex details and makes them simple to use
What's not so great: Despite our (Turbotax and mine) best efforts I had to pay this year!

Love it -- do not need an erasure to make corrections.
My problem was with the state tax refund. I needed to go to the worksheet to determine why this refund was zero on my 1040 when I got a refund. A solution would be to show that there is a difference between the previous year and this year and why the discrepency. The descrepency was shown in the worksheet to be due to using sales tax and NOT state tax. Just trying to make it easier for the user to navigate through taxes.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: I had a problem with State tax refund

Nice and Easy!

What a breeze! Last year, we went through many tax-related changes in our family and TurboTax helpled me effortlessly through it all. I was overwhelmed to do my taxes this year, but not to worry, since I was using TurboTax.
I can not say enough about how great it is to do my taxes on my own and feel in control of it.

What's great about it: Super fast, super easy, saves info from previous years
What's not so great: chat help took almost two hour wait
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
