Using Turbo Tax puts the Ahhhh! in filing your taxes. The step by step completion is great. It forces you to organize your back up, which simplifies the whole process. I know what to do next, I just follow allow with the program.
I'll be cruising with my refund in the summer.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions

The process is very straight forward. However, there should be a more automatic way of deleting items when a major area has been removed. For example, when deleting a particular business, all of the deductions remained, unfilled, and were only caught during review, at which time a zero had to be entered. It would have been better to offer to remove all related deductions at the time the business was removed.
What's great about it: Appreciate the simple way of navigating to any section
What's not so great: Completion of a section automatically generates fixed questions that have to be answered every time you navigate.

Love the refund

The only area that needs additional development for me is how to treat your HSA. I realize the confusion exists because of the way employers report contributions under the existing regulations but as a taxpayer it would seem that the program should make it easier to understand.
What's great about it: I particularly like the easy interview that makes entering data easy.
What's not so great: Need to improve the HSA process. It is cumbersome
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Flew through it because it was so easy!

I first started using Turbo Tax a couple of years ago and was my first time ever doing my taxes on my own. I was a little nervous because It was the first year I was a home owner. It has gotten simpler every year due to the importing of my previous year's returns. I also like that it double checks and inquires on certain areas that I may have skipped through.
What's great about it: Quick, to the point. Good explanations on all fields

Using the import feature to download 1099 information, then TurboTax automatically generated the Sch D! Sure beats the old way of entering the information into TurboTax by hand.
What's great about it: Ability to create Sch D by importing from online accounts!
Pros: I bought or sold investments

It was a quick process and the directions were good. I felt helpfulness throughout the entire process, I was not as stressed as I would have been. I will use this program again.
