Helps with the confusion the IRS creates

Turbo Tax helps take the stress out of filing, because I trust it to be very accurate. Easy to use and understand.

I use TT year after year, have had my returns reviewed by tax accountants and they were very surprized how accurately "I" did my taxes.
What's great about it: Ease of use, accuarcy.
What's not so great: No problems with Delux.

Did not seem as easy as previous returns

It seemed hard to find Basic to download so I ended up with Deluxe which did not seem as easy to use as in previous returns. Still a reasonably good experience, just could have been better. Will switch back to Basic next year.
What's great about it: Overall easy to use
What's not so great: Too many steps when using 'easy' guide

I really have been a committed user of Turbo Tax. Really like the familiar interface and process. The importing personal information from previous returns and the comparison of current return to previous year is a wonderful feature. I will be back next year.
What's great about it: Solid program, familiar interface, confidence that comes from the experience
What's not so great: The cost to e-file, if I make it easier to process by e-filing why am I paying for their benefit.

Problems with multiple states

TT struggles with the reality that I own an LLC that earns income in two states, and owe taxes in both. I should be able to apportion the income between the states, but the two state returns don't talk to each other, and the return for my home state is very difficult to edit in the interview. One way the system could really be improved is to resolve the internal challenges of state returns working together.
What's great about it: So easy to use for federal taxes, and it's great that it transfers info from year to year
What's not so great: The system always struggles to cope with the fact that we work and owe taxes in multiple states

Felt compfortable working though it with the fact I was married filing separately.
As noted .. I would liked to have the SW define what I filing separately costs.
What's great about it: Was easier that the last time I used this software. .. efiling was great
What's not so great: gien I was married filing separately I would have liked the SW to help to quantify the impact of the filing status.
