Thorough

TurboTax does a great job of helping me get through my fairly simple tax returns. It prompts me to consider income sources and deductions I wouldn't have known about. It reduced my federal and state income tax liability below what I would have paid had I filled out the forms myself.
What's great about it: TurboTax did a thorough review of all the income and deductions available

TurboTax 2012

If it wasn't for TurboTax I would really have difficulty doing my taxes and it would take me much longer. It is incredibly easy to use and they are on top of all the tax law changes. I also line the two year comparison which helps me make some decisions regarding the next tax year. Great product.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Very detailed.
What's not so great: Some areas required going online for assistance such as credits and deductions.

Seems to me that instructions are more clear this year than previous years versions of turbo tax (have used TT for a number of years). Asking questions much easier and faster.
TT DID save me several hundred dollars this year.
What's great about it: Questions function where you can just type in questions and get answers from similar questions.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Extremely Difficult Updates; Software has bugs

3 hours just to fix software issues, not expected
What's not so great: Had to completely uninstall and reinstall Turbo tax just to fix sofrware update bugs so that I can complete my efile.

Easy, Easy, EZ

I have been using TurboTax for years and it never ceases to impress me. Simple, clean interface, and intuitive layout make this a must own. I cannot think of a single reason not to use this product, purchase peace of mind, purchase simplicity, purchase TurboTax!

Excellent Product!

The current versions of this product are very accurate and complete. I particularly like the ability to save my filed forms in .pdf format for future use. However, I am not able to retrieve older versions of my returns that I saved in the ".tax" format. I have to refer to older hard-copy returns to retrieve information. Overall, I have total confidence in TurboTax and I will continue using this software for my future returns.
What's great about it: Navigation through the program is thorough and in a logical sequence. It tracks well with receipts and documentation.
What's not so great: Could improve tracking prior year and AMT depreciation for "office in the home" deductions with annual summary.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
