My Tax filing Experince

For this year's filing experience, we both noticed that the questions were a bit harder to understand than previous years. We are not sure if it was the verbiage or just the way it was layed out but more difficult to comprehend the questions. Or, maybe as we are getting older, we resist change.
What's great about it: Our return and that it auto save
What's not so great: Verbiage of some questions were harder to understand this year

Consistently Solid Work

Includes income, credits, deductions, filing status changes, etc. in a logical, helpful manner. Tracks changes to tax liability. Reminds me of any thing additional I can add.

Helped me Complete a Complicated Process

Tax filing is a pain. Without the Turbotax tool, there is no way I could accurately complete the returns myself and save the money that would have been spent using a tax accountant. Turbotax provides a well performing product that is a good value for the self-preparer

We have been using TurboTax for years. Love it. Unfortunately this year we had a huge hit on our taxes. We anticipated owing but it was significantly more than expected and there has been no way to really understand why the value jumped up so much. That's been frustrating.
The program told us we would owe extra taxes due to cashing out a 401K but our tax bill went up be twice that amount.
Overall I love using the program and will continue to use it until I decide to have an accountant take over my taxes. At times I wish there was an easier way to get answers for unusual situations.
I love the question format for entering information which allows us to explore all the different aspects of income and dedcutions.
What's great about it: guided approach to all income and deductions
What's not so great: changes to taxes owed hard to understand at times

We have used TurboTax for years. I love that I can easily look back at previous years when I have questions. It allows you to do even complicated taxes in hours instead of days.
What's great about it: Leads you through step by step and questions you when you make stupid choices

Turbo Tax has helped us for years. It is direct , simple and yet totally detailed. with many failsafe measures. You can work on it whenever you want, save it, and not return for days or weeks. It is all in my control, all the way.
What's great about it: Simple, ample Help when needed.
What's not so great: Didn't know there were any.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
