One users view of Turbo Tax

Turbo tax is great in that it makes it very easy in entering the information to file your taxes. Since I use to do it on my own, I can appreciate what Turbo Tax is doing. My knowledge of doing my own taxes helped me to better understand the application.
The difficulties are that sometimes Turbo Tax copies from the previous year and a form will be brought along that is no longer needed. Fortunately, Turbo Tax lets you work directly at the form level. At that point is was easy to delete the form.
The other problem is that over time I no longer read the IRS publications and have come to rely on Turbo Tax.

So fast & Easy. Used it when self-employed & even working in multiple states. Only year we had a problem is when we used the tax prep firm with two initials!
What's great about it: Step by step through each topic, can start & stop, efile is easy

Simple, easy walk through of a nasty task. Makes you feel better and confident that it is done right.
I don't know how they can make it easier! Previous year is imported, W2's are imported. Just simple as can be.
I have been using TurboTax for quite a number of years, you can't go wrong.

What's not so great: State filing should be free! MD lets you file online with them for free.
