Annoying + hidden fees

Made it easy to file but not easy to make sure everything was right. Not confident that I got the best return. Easy to navigate, but didn't integrate states well and was confusing.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate
What's not so great: Lacked info in key places, didn't communicate fees upfront
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Helped clarify a confusing set of rules

I've been using TurboTax for many years in two different states. I feel comfortable with the process and the results. I realize there is a weakness to this system in that I must be aware of what's going on with tax law or I won't know what to look for. But that's my responsibility not yours. Until telepathy is created and perfected this is the best use of computers I have seen. I received a competitor's software in the mail free this year but I didn't even open the box.
What's great about it: The questions were short, to the point and for the most part explained things well. Smooth move throughout.
What's not so great: There were energy issues that required additional questions to your experts.

Devoted user of Turbotax for many years. Have worked as a professional preparer - would recommend this to anyone who wants to do their own taxes as it helps you through all the essential steps.

Turbotax Couldn't Be Simpler

I have used TuroTax since 2005. It makes tax completion and filing a breeze from year to year
What's great about it: Carryover of what was used submitted on previous year's forms

Great tool - easiest to use

I find that TurboTax is the easiest to use software - using the Easy Guide is great - just answer all of the questions and you are done in no time. I have used other products and found them much more difficult to use.
