Too much money!

I did not like having to pay even more money to have my state return e-mailed after I paid for the "Deluxe" Federal & State returns copy of TurboTax. And I knew ahead of time I wasn't going to use deduction maximizer, yet I had to pay more to get the so-call state copy.
What's great about it: It was easy.
What's not so great: Did not need some of the extras.

I have used Turbotax for several years. It's easy to do because its given to me step by step. Information can also be transported from previous tax returns. It doesn't take very long to complete - I can sit down in one afternoon and have it all completed within a couple of hours as long as I have all my paperwork right there.
What's great about it: It was easy painless, especially "It's Deductible"

easy to use software

i've been using this software for two years (i only started filing two years ago anyway) and i find no reason to switch. it's easy to use, will ask all the relevant questions, and it's easy to go back and change things or skip to sections you want to go to. to me, it's clear and gives a good overview of what's happening in your return. there are links to explain each section/question and why it applies, or why you would take one action over another.
What's great about it: easy to use, explanations provided, easy to navigate, import tax forms
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Took the Ax out of Tax Returns

Turbo Tax leads you all the way with hints, tips, and pertinent questions. It allows you to flag a page and go back as often as you need. If you make a mistake, it allows you to fix it any time prior to actually e-filing. It does a review for errors and will take you right to the problem with a simple click. Then, it does a final review for you, and also allows you to preview the actual return you will be filing before you send it off.

had a different kind of year. Sold house, moved to different state and had to file two state returns. Turbo Tax has seemed to do all this effortlessly. Just efiled all three returns and seems to be ok.
