reviewed a tax return that said no errors but found that they had tax payments posting twice. system said NO errors. they used step by step method so not certain how got entered twice by just answering intuit pre-generated questions. had tax withheld on 1099R and estimate from previous year overpayment both doubled. good idea to manually double check taxes paid on return against original documents as system cant catch this.
What's great about it: quick n easy when using the forms method
What's not so great: think can lose track going through step by step method of preparing.

Turbo tax is easy to use. The step by step instruction is very helpful & an easy way to learn. The late updates are a little crazy. They should not be so long in coming. Makes you wonder what happens to those who filed their taxes only to find out later there were more updates. ???

I needed to change income when I lived in a different school district - difficult to figure out how/where I needed to make the change. Also need to add more items to the charity deduction calculate it option.

I'm happy with Turbo Tax over-all, but the integration with Quicken is a bit incomplete. For instance there is no way to link Self-Employment Health Insurance Premiums in Quicken to the appropriate Schedule C line in Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Thorough, complete
What's not so great: Schedule C entries are confusing. Quicken set up is incomplete
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

"2012 Taxes Done in 1 Day"

Using Turbo Tax makes my hectic life a little easier. I know that all I have to do is plan one day to sit down load the program and start.... Within a few hours I'm done and my refund is on it's way to my bank account.
How simple is that ! I have all the confidence in the world that my information is safe. I'm actually looking forward to doing our Taxes next year.....
