State Returns

Multi-State returns are too expensive to get and e-file . . . extra charges make me feel like I am getting pulled in, so I do them off line directly with the states involved. Would be much more convenient to do them thru Turbo Tax

I like the organization of Turbo Tax. I have used it for years. It automatically uses last years information where needed. I like Turbo Tax propting questions to help me remember donations and other entities that I may forget. I went to a tax professional in the past. I really did all the organinzing type work. He just plugged in the numbers. I felt I could do that myself for much less cost. Therefore I began using Turbo Tax
What's great about it: very organized-prompting questions
What's not so great: Most areas had "help". Several needed areas did not.

Good, But With Bumps in the Road This Year

I have used TT for over 10 years. I appreciate how relatively easy it is to use. This year is the first time I have experienced some issues with the software--specifically e-filing a state return. The problem seems to have been re-occurring for other users, but there was not an easy fix. It wasn't enough for me to never use TT again, but it was frustrating.
What's great about it: Easy & straightforward to use
What's not so great: Trouble transmitting e-file due to a looping "update" message

20 Minute tax return

Great product! I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years now. Each year it gets easier faster and finds the deductions that You are entitled too.
What's great about it: Had all my info nothing to fill out just a couple of numbers
What's not so great: waiting for the program to load
