scrolling is extremely aggravating

I hate the fact that every time it returns to the list of completed tasks I have to manually scroll to the bottom of the page. It would make a lot more since if it automatically displayed the bottom of the list since most people aren't going to be going back to earlier steps much. Start at the top of the list when a return is opened, otherwise go to the bottom of the list so that people don't have to work to continue their return. You also need to do a better job of error checking as data is entered.
What's great about it: Walks you through step by step
What's not so great: accepts incorrect information that it doesn't catch until it does the error check at the end.

Simple and fast

I like working with the interview-style menu driven features of Turbotax, it always makes tax tiem easy and smooth for me.
What's great about it: Smooth transitions from each category for a typical itemized return.
What's not so great: None

surprised by a refund

the online purchase and download did not work, but when I called intuit, Paul walked me through it and it resulted in the right product to download. It took over an hour, but we were successful. I downloaded it to more than one computer so more people in the household could do their taxes at their desk. that is a great help. I did have trouble printing the paperwork to mail. When I tried to print in a batch of all the pages at once, it did not print in English. but when I printed the forms one page at a time, ti printed fine. On the whole it went well. thankyou
What's great about it: program easy to follow and all figuring done automatically
What's not so great: had trouble purchasing online and downloading

TuurboTax Delux Federal & State

I have been using TurboTax for many years and find it so much better than trying to file on my own. As long as I have all my Information at hand it make filing very quick and easy. The program guides me through the process in a very organized manner. I usually delay between preparing and filing for a few days so it will make me feel "the pressure" of filing my taxes!
What's great about it: Walks you through the filing process in an easy and organized progression.
What's not so great: It seemed to be skipping parts or my mouse pad was being sensitive, so I kept double checking catagories.

Totally trouble-free taxes!

I used to prepare my taxes by hand. Then, several years ago, I discovered TurboTax and I have never gone back.
Doing my taxes always has been anxiety-provoking for me, but TurboTax takes nearly all the anxiety out of this yearly chore. It helps you maximize your deductions and find ones that you might not even realize you are eligible to take. Before you even start your return, TurboTax downloads all the latest updates and revisions in the tax laws/regulations so that you are working with the most current information possible. Even things that at first seem a little confusing are readily and easily clarified. And TurboTax checks for errors and helps you correct them! I think even people with a more complicated return than mine (Itemized deductions) would find TurboTax easy to use and be pleased with the results.

Could not get'er done without turbotax

I have a very complicated return due to owning several private businesses,several corporate partnerships,and alot of business,real estate and charitable transactions. Many of my friends,business associates and even family can not believe I still do my own return. But I tell them the secret is TurboTax, I believe an educated taxpayer armed with TurboTax can conquer any personal return-despite the complexities of our Tax Code..But I also know that I wouldnt even try to do it myself without TurboTax. No tax professional will ever be as vigilant about watching your money as you are(with TurboTax)
What's great about it: As always,easy guide through directions,transfer of prior years data

Helps keep everything organized

Have used TurboTax for many years. Consist approach makes it easy to get through all the issues without worry of forgetting any details. Reassuring to know there is little risk for making mistakes.
